Today I sat for my VCAP6-DCV Deploy (3V0-623). It is indeed tough, as you are aware VCAP’s will really test your skills and make sure you master the navigation, configurations. There’s a lot of difference with VCAP5 Data Center Administration and VCAP6-DCV deploy, starting from labs to the time.
As soon as the Exam started to my Surprise, the clock showing 3hours 10 minutes remaining. I was expecting the 30 minutes extension given to the non-native English Speaker. The lab is a bit different the interface is similar to HOL. If you have used HOL before it will be handy for you. Most important you do not have to switch between the lab and the question, which is a bit relief and saves time as you don’t have to make a note of the IP and Server details. You still have the C# client to use and I used them for few tasks. There was a total of 27 questions almost covering the complete blueprint.
Spoiler Alert: Few function keys like Alt, Ctrl and backspace don’t work, use OnScreen Keyboard if you have to copy paste. Also, there are problems with the Screen resolution which is limited to 1024*760(You may have some issues in toggling full screen).
As always the Google Communities does its part where you communicate and interact with fellow VCAP candidates.
